As a graduation present, since I recently just graduated from High School, my grandma got my a brand new computer. This HP Pavilion dv7 is pretty kick butt. It’s pretty fast, has an i7 Core Processor running at 2.00 GHz, lots of disk space (684 GB), 8 GB RAM and a 64-bit OS running Windows 7 Home Premium. I’m still in the process of transferring some important files from my old ASUS K50IJ computer and installing programs that I had, making sure I have everything that I need and everything I had on my old computer.
The battery life is also good on the HP Pavilion dv7. Well, it’s better than the battery life on my ASUS computer since Windows kept telling me to replace the battery (even though I haven’t yet) and it would overheat and would die if it’s unplugged. I don’t have to worry anymore for the HP Pavilion dv7. It doesn’t burn my body when I have it on my stomach or lap, and so far it has not overheated or gave a problem.
My ASUS computer was also a Vista computer before I upgraded it to Windows 7. That might explain why it ran into so much problems including blue screens, DVD problems, and etc. It was time for a new computer, and I’m glad I got a new one. The HP Pavilion dv7 is 17 inches wide, which is bigger than my old one, but that’s okay. I can manage this new computer. I can see everything a little bigger on my screen since the screen is indeed 2 inches wider than my old computer. It’s also faster, easier and more less cluttered.
