I’ve been playing RollerCoaster Tycoon for the longest time! It’s my most favorite game of all time! Whenever I would play, I would pretty much let my imagination run WILD!! Even though there was a lack of a Sandbox mode when I first played RollerCoaster Tycoon, I had fun building multiple parks and completing challenging scenarios. If I had to choose a favorite park from the original RollerCoaster Tycoon game, it would probably be Diamond Heights.
I would always play RollerCoaster Tycoon and its expansion packs for fun. Theming was always my weakness, and I always looked at RCT in a general gameplay perspective. I had this same perspective when RCT3 was released in 2004. When I learned about the new features about the game, including the exciting on-ride camera feature, I just had to get the game. When I did, discovered the sandbox mode and I just let my imagination loose! I built and built and played and played for the pure fun. I’ve been doing that for a while, including the expansion pack Soaked! and never bothered much with the scenarios as the sandbox made me a happy person and I knew I could do almost anything and everything.
After a while of playing around with RCT3, I go and find out there’s a huge RCT community scattered across the web, one of them being the Atari Community Forums. I pretty much did a lot of lurking while admiring all the CS (Custom Scenery) content. And then after a while, I decide to start a project of my own, but without CS. In September 2010, I started a park called Pine Gardens and the park features absolutely no CS in it, and I’m not really good at CS anyway so I decided to do a non-cs park. It’s looking real nice actually, I put a lot of work into it. Pine Gardens is a forest-themed park with flower gardens found in each area of the park, which is why the name of the park is called Pine Gardens.
My site will feature an area dedicated to RCT3 as a part of the stuff that I do on the web. It’s not really something I do on the web, since it’s a PC game, but it’s connected to the web when I go to the forums and show my work. There will most likely be a section for Pine Gardens, and maybe I’ll have some downloadable stuff available. I don’t do much with RCT3, but yeah it’t one of those things I do. So go check out Pine Gardens and if you’re a member of the Atari community, go ahead and leave a comment in the thread.
